It might be a good idea if Stata were to map some key combinations
(e.g. cntrl-L and cntrl-R) into the ascii values of the "magic" left
and right quote signs. If this were to work in the built-in editor,
even if users were using different editors, they could, in a pinch,
copy the characters over.
