st: re: reinstalling Stata - how to reinstall downloaded packages

If you do -adopath- you will see that packages you have downloaded  
are in the PLUS directory, which will not be affected by updating the  
contents of the official Stata directories. (If you have used -ssc-  
or -net install-, it never will put non-official packages in the  
UPDATES or BASE directories, which are Stata's own turf).  So you  
should not lose any of your installed ado's when you reinstall Stata.
