Stata sells its product in one piece. There are no additional modules to buy. Stata is very programmable, however. There are many free third party programs available that extend Stata's capabilities. There is also the possibility of writing C plug-ins when speed is critical. Well, that's it for my thumb typing practice.

Hello statalisters!

I wonder what the "Expansion Modules" in Stata are? And what is the
difference between "expansion modules" and "plug-ins"?
Any information is wanted.

Thank you,
  Sergiy
