My Stata10/SE doesn't crash when pressing ctrl+9 twice but if I close it
aftewards (without doing anything) Windows returns an error message: "Stata
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconveninece" ...

Pressing ctrl+9 a few times in a row makes may Stata 10.0/MP crash in a
quite reliable way.
