Most of the time, a straight text editor won't work (you must have a hex mode) and you must replace the edited text with another
character (a blank for instance).

I'm going to load V10 yet this week so I'll see if the trick still works.

Tom,

Thanks for the suggestion. I edited out the % in a text editor, but I 
guess I made it worse. In any event, my edit didn't work. I won't do it again.
