Good point. I suggest that email to people about violations of
StataList protocol should be sent to the sender of the email, not to
the list.
I don't really want to have to deal with yet another email in which
someone is cyberspanked for sending an attachment to the list or not
citing a reference fully enough to make the posting intelligible.
So can we agree that those who feel strongly enough about the subject
to remind/inform participants about the conventions of Statalist
should do so privately rather than as an email to Statalist.
This would reduce repetitive traffic on the list, while giving the
poster some idea as to how their post could be improved.
