st: adoupdate will break Stata 9?
Nick Cox's post about his new -examples- routine got me thinking
about something. If you are still stuck with Stata 9, then using
adoupdate may cause you to get a new version of a routine that
requires Stata 10. Hopefully, authors of such updated routines will
also keep old versions available. It might be a good idea, though,
if adoupdate issued a warning when the update requires a newer
version of Stata than the one you are using.
