st: Two minor editor problem in Stata 10

The editor window always opens up with a default small (for me) size. 
Is there a way to set the window size our change the default?

When working with a long line (longer than the window) the editor 
moves to the right to display the end of the line. When one is 
highlighting several lines, this behavior is somewhat annoying.
