Re: st: Re: Fixed effects with almost time invariant dummies
Dear Rodrigo and Tobias,
Thank you so much for your help! I was not able to locate
the "plus" folder inside ado, so the .ado file was not
getting saved in the proper folder. Hence the command was
not working! That's why, your typed out commands really
helped! And for sure, I am checking out both xthtaylor and
xtfevd.
Thanks again! Be back soon :)
Suryadipta.

Download the 2 files from
http://www.polsci.org/pluemper/xtfevd.htm
and save them into your personal folder or other's
folder
(called plus). Alternative you could type:
cd c:\ado\
capture mkdir plus
cd plus
capture mkdir x
cd x
capture copy http://www.polsci.org/pluemper/xtfevd.ado
xtfevd.ado
capture copy http://www.polsci.org/pluemper/xtfevd.hlp
xtfevd.hlp
Rodrigo.
PS: You should also look -xthtaylor-

Subject: st: Fixed effects with almost time invariant
dummies
Hi,
I am trying to use the -xtfevd- command for FE
regressions
with time-invariant and almost time-invariant variables.
However, I am getting the following error message-
unrecognized command: xtfevd.
Moreover, -findit xtfevd- does not bring up any
information.
It would be great if someone could point out as to what
I
need to do for stata to recognize the command.
Thanks as usual!
Suryadipta.
