Dave Ewart ([email protected]) asked about a memory allocation oddity
he is seeing when using Stata/MP on 64-bit Linux (x86-64) with the
-odbc- command:
> Stata/MP4 9.2 running on Linux/amd64 with four CPUs.

We have not had any other reports of the issue Dave wrote about.
Although Dave did an excellent job of providing short examples
to reproduce the problem, it is going to take some investigation
to determine where the problem lies. It could be in Stata, the
ODBC driver on Dave's system, the database to which the ODBC
driver is connecting, or a combination.
We will contact Dave off the list so that we can track down
the cause and will report back to Statalist.
