If you're using Stata 10 for Macinitosh, Kit's observation as to the cause
of the problem is correct. If you're not and you're using Stata for Windows,
please contact [email protected] with this problem because nothing obvious is
jumping out at me. Are you sure C:\ado still exists?

The problem Kit mentioned appears to be a bug in the installer maker we use to
build our installer. As Kit correctly noted, you must copy (or move) your
existing ado-directory to ~/Library/Application Support/Stata/ for Stata 10.
