Does anyone use Stata to develop risk models as is done with Excel and

Dear Graham,
I am an health economist dealing with the economic evaluation of health care
programmes and I have used in the past the packages You mentioned for
performing non-parametric booststrap sampling on cost-effectiveness base
case results.
You can do the same and even better with Stata (i.e.: selecting different
ways for calculating bootstrap CIs, which is not on-hand with adds-in for
Excel), even though I am not aware of specific Stata routines or tutorials
for risk analysis, Tornado charts and so on.
Should You be interested in probabilistic models in health economics (all of
those run successfully with Stata), I am happy with providing You with the
following reference:
Briggs A, Sculpher M, Claxton K. Decision modelling in health economic
evaluation. Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2006.
Hope this helps and Kind Regards,
Carlo
