Good idea Tim, I never thought of searching with my text editor. I've
discovered WinEdt's -Find In Files- function which allows searches
with regular expressions and can collect file names or specific lines
in files. Faster than windows, but slower (although allows for more
control) than google. Nifty!

Paul, Ultra-edit does this very nicely see: www.ultra-edit.com. Once
the program is installed, use menus: search/find in files/and specify
*.do and the text you are looking for. See
http://fmwww.bc.edu/repec/bocode/t/textEditors.html for additional
info on some ohter text editors that might have this capability.
