I have the same result.
And, when I net from ssc, I get
. ssc install somersd, replace
checking somersd consistency and verifying not already installed...
all files already exist and are up to date.
After which I issue the -which- command
. which somersd
c:\ado\plus\s\somersd.ado

Is there any reason why -somersd- won't update itself via -adoupdate-?
. adoupdate, update
(note: adoupdate updates user-written files; type -update- to check
for updates to official Stata)
