Can stata calculate age-adjusted mortality rates?
--------------------------------------------------------
See:
help dstdize
In S Juul: An Introduction To Stata for Health Researchers
(Stata Press 2006) you find a description, including access
to various standard populations.
-distrate- is an other useful command that
computes age-standardized rates with improved confidence intervals
Type
ssc de distrate
and then
ssc install distrate
The help file is provided with a worked example
that you can run by clicking on the viewer window.
Best wishes
