This suggestion worked perfectly! Using EMF format allows for shaded
area to appear in Scientific WorkPlace.

Dear Dimitriy,
I have had similar problems using Word. I find the .emf (enhanced
meta-file format) shows the colours.
Best regards, Tom Palmer

Subject: st: color problems with WMF exports
I am having trouble exporting a graph that has a shaded confidence
interval created by twoway rarea. Only the outline of the CI appears
in the wmf file. Switching colors does not appear to work.
The ultimate goal is to incorporate the figures into a Scientific
WorkPlace LaTeX file, and SWP is very choosy with graphic formats. If
someone can suggest another format that would work with SWP, that
would work as well.
Many thanks.
