-, nonest- is an option to the xtreg command so looking for a -nonest-
package on ssc wouldn't work as no such package exists.
First you should check that you have the most up-to-date version of Stata....
. update query
Then follow the instructions.
You can see that xtreg is implemented as an ado file and is part of
the base installation by using -which-
. which xtreg
/usr/local/stata9/ado/base/x/xtreg.ado
*! version 1.5.1 31mar2005
If updating your ado-files doesn't work then a re-install may solve
the problems.

Hi everyone,
I've been using a command while I was working at the
World Bank,
xtreg y x, fe cl(cluster) nonest
but I've found that nonest does not work on my home
computer, even though I have the same version of STATA
(9 SE). I've tried looking through the ado files and
doing SSC install nonest--neither worked. Does anyone
know where the nonest option comes from?
(The nonest option makes it so that I can cluster the
standard errors across panels)
Thanks,
Molly
