I know that -iclassr-, -iclassr2-, -l1way- (all included in package sg65 from http://www.stata.com/stb/stb35 ) use Spearman-Brown formula, but I am not sure if this information helps you.

P.S. I judge it simply a matter of taste (even if it is not), but I am a fan of -factor, pcf- (that produces almost the same results as the default SPSS command for factor analysis). Varimax rotation is the most used in my research area (innovation management).
