st: spec_stand

thanks to kit baum, the package -spec_stand- is now available for 
download from SSC.

the package is an interface to -dstdize- that, given a dataset of 
numerators, denominators, strata variables and groups variables, and a 
dataset for standard population, produces a resultsset (in roger 
newson's meaning) containing the standardized rates 
numerators/denominators, possibly with adjusted and stratum-specific 
rates, along with confidence intervals.

this package happens to be very useful in my agency to produce health 
indicators.

the package requires stata 8.
