Dear all,
I have just send new versions of the programs for sequence analysis to Kit
Baum, who will make it available on the SSC in due time.
The new versions include a new option, a bug-fix and a more or less cosmetic
change.
Most programs of the sq-package now allow the option -subseq()-. With this
option it is possible to restrict the calculations on specific positions of
the entire sequences.
-sqcluterdat- and -sqom- returned an error, if the file holding the sequences
contained other covariates that vary within a sequence. This happens if one
stores several sequence-types in one file. This is fixed.
In a recent posting on Statalist, Ken Higbee recommended to put tempfile-names
in compound double quotes. We have changed all sq-programs accordingly.
All users of the sq-package are asked to update the program as soon as the
programs are made available by Kit Baum (which normaly happens within some
days). To update the files use -ssc install sq, replace- or -adoupdate-.
Many regards
Uli
