There are several plots to check proportional hazards assumption.
You can find a clear discussion and several worked example in Klein and Moeschbeerger's Survival analysis book, chapter 11.
As a last addition to Stata facility in this topic it could be useful starjas, a command producing so called Arjas plots.
It is available on the SSC Archive.
