Many thanks, Maurizio. Those of us who are trying to use Stata as a
comprehensive, multi-faceted enterprise reporting tool will find this
update extremely usesful, I am certain. Comparing the old -tmap- with
-spmap- shows that an enormous amount of work has gone into this.
While it will not replace the more sophisticated functions of GIS
software, many people use incredibly expensive GIS systems to produce
nothing more than thematic maps!
