Dear all,
I have the following simple data:
permit
101
101
102
102
103
103
104
104
105
105
105
....
There are about 300 observations. I would like to replace 101 by
65687, 102 by 65686, and so on. This can be done by -recode-.
However, it is a bit messy. Can you suggest me a more elegant way of
doing this. For instance, in Excel one can us ethe -vlookup- feature.
Is there something similar we can do with Stata.
