One way around this is to use the "savedat()" option with -xtgraph- and then
use the saved dataset to produce v9 graphs. For example:
.webuse grunfeld
. tempfile foo
. xtgraph invest, savedat(`foo')
file C:\DOCUME~1\Scott_2\LOCALS~1\Temp\ST_0f000002.tmp saved
. use `foo'
. twoway line mean year || rcap lb ub year
