Dear Statalist readers,

Please let me ask a question about
spatial analysis.

I am using "spatlsa" command which
is based upon the statistics
proposed by Getis and Ord, and is
very efficient in finding local
hot spots.

As a prerequisite for spatlsa,
binary distance matrix should be
prepared.

Are there any guideline/criteria
and reference
about how to determine the cutoff distance
which differentiates between being
remote and close, in this
binary matrix?

Yours suggestion would be appreciated.

Yours sinscerely
