Thanks to Kit Baum, a new version of the program xml_tab- is now available
from
SSC.
The program writes output of any Stata estimation routine into formatted
Excel (XML) file. The XML files generated by the program are structured to
work with MS Excel.
XML_TAB allows users to apply different formats to elements of the output
table, to underline the rows of the table, put the significance stars, and
essentially do everything Excel can do in terms of formatting from within
Stata.
The new version of the program contains several improvements. The main new
feature allows users to output not only estimation coefficient and the
standard errors but also t-ratio and p-values (corresponding options tstat-
and pvalue-). The new options below- and right- control the placement of
the standard errors/t-ratios/p-values. By default these statistics are
placed to the right of the coefficient, if option below- is specified the
statistics are placed under the coefficients and put in parenthesis. Several
fixes and minor changes were also implemented. Please read a new help file
for the detailed description of the new features of the program.
Looking forward to hear your opinion,
Zurab
