st: Sorry about the attachment
Dear All,
I am sorry about the attachment. I did not know about the rules.
I changed the text file at the last moment as it was not displaying the
fonts properly.
Sorry once again.
Thanks,
Prabhu

Subject: st: Attachments: NO! NO! NO!
This is emphasised in the FAQ and often mentioned on
the list itself.
Among many other reasons, note first that the majority
of Statalist members subscribe to the digest and so
at best will receive such attachments as masses of
unintelligible garbage.
In a recent example, a MS Word document was sent
(not a text file as implied).
It so happens that some Statalist members will have
MS Word on their machines, but many Statalist members have no
access to MS Word. In addition, common applications from
MS OFfice are notorious vehicles for spreading viruses
and other nasty things.
But these are details. The rule is simple: No attachments.
Anyone who thinks they know better is a nuisance to the
list.
Nick
