-svylorenz- (available on SSC) may already do what you wish: look at
the list of saved results given in the help file. -sumdist- (also on
SSC) reports quantiles also, but does not leave them behind in saved
results in its current version. Have a look at -summarize, detail-
too for estimation of a (hard-wired) set of quantiles.
PS Dirk: please read the Statalist FAQ about posting ascii/plain text
messages. (Your emails arrive with loads of extra junk.) The FAQ also
provides advice about how to change the options in your email package
to sent plain text.
