True for findit and "ssc whatsnew"; there is latency there. But I
believe that adoupdate should work in real time---that is, if "ssc
describe foo" says there is a new version of the foo package,
adoupdate should see the same thing (it's my metadata from which
adoupdate is working) and tell you about it. (That is, if I have not
screwed up in updating the Distribution-Date, which I sometimes do).
