Neil is of course correct: you must upgrade if you
want to fix this (as I take it that Stata/SE 8
which did not have this limit is no longer available
for the purchase).
Also, please notice the longstanding advice in the FAQ
to specify in postings which version of Stata you are using if it is
not the current version.
