Subject   st: Panel data with dependent variable from a single period: Which regression?

Hi all,

I have 3 periods of panel data on individual level opinions of various
products and whether they ended up purchasing them in the 3rd period.
I'm trying to run a multinomial logit regression where the dependent
variable is which, if any, product (of a set of 7) the person
purchased in the last period. I'd like to regress this on their
time-varying opinions from the first and second periods, as well as on
certain time-invariant personal characteristics.

What is the right regression to use? Should I just use a single
multinomial logit regression with data points from the first and
second as independent variables?

Thanks,
Amber
