This was precisely Sven's main point, that
confusion can arise. But cutting the function
out of the executable would just break any
do files and programs that used it correctly,
and thus penalise the just as well as the unjust.
However, if the same people keep logs and
look at their output carefully, then said
fatal error should come to light.
