st: predicting billion songs countdown

Has anyone attempted to use Stata to predict Apple's billion songs  
countdown? They have a counter going online at their site. The  
billionth song buyer gets a prize.

I don't know if the online pace reflects real point of sales timing  
and I also suspect that its current pace would accelerate closer to  
the target (I did not find any prior curves or information on their  
prior contests). I thought this would be an interest teaching exercise.

What Stata commands would be used for this kind of prediction? I've  
not done time series analysis, but was curious.
