I haven't looked into the substance of Caleb Southworth's question on
values-to-labels, but I want to add one comment to the discussion.
I have a yet-to-be-published program (make_label_from_data.ado) that
creates -label def- statements by writing a do-file, using -file
write- commands. In case you are interested, I can send this as an
example of a technique. This does not solve your problem, but may
give some ideas about technique.
