Maarten,

All Statalist readers who read the RSS feed of Statalist have the option to click on a link at the bottom of each post to automatically add a link to the message in their del.icio.us bookmark account. You will be prompted to setup a del.icio.us account if you do not have one. This should facilitate the collection of future messages for any 'best of Statalist' collection. Also note that messages since August 2005 are fully searchable using Google's blog search engine. The searches can be ordered by either date or relevance. You can find an appropriately formatted link to search these messages under the Links heading on this page:

http://statalist.blogspot.com

or you can bookmark the following link:

For those who are unaware, del.icio.us (http://del.icio.us) is a social bookmarking service that allows you to store topically tagged bookmarks to any URL for future reference. The account is free and easy to use. Here is the link to their About page:

If you are interested in subscribing to the Statalist feed, you can point your feed reader to the following URL (this is formatted so that you can read the page in a browser but the underlying code is XML which can be read and formatted appropriately by your feed aggregator).

Let me know if you have any problems.

 Hi Michael,
Just brainstorming: del.icio.us is, as I understand it, a way of sharing your bookmarks. There have recent request for a "the best of Statlist list of posts", and the standard reply is that individuals should save/bookmark the posts they find useful, since maintaining such a "best of" list would be to much work. Couldn't del.icio.us through ATS or otherwise be a sollution?
cheers, Maarten
