to import the SAS help file, I mean how can import the file that

You failed to tell us how you converted the file; there are
several possibilities.

One of these is Stata's -fdause- command. It lets Stata read
a SAS XPORT file (.xpt) together with formats.xpf which holds
the value label definitions.

The command was introduced with Stata 8.2, I think, but it is not
documented in the Stata 8 manuals, only in the help file. In Stata
9 it is documented in [D] fdasave.

Hope this helps
Svend
