David wants to run a job, sending the output to a log file without
seeing it in the Results window.
This sound like a batch-job to me; see [GSW] A.9 Executing Stata
in background (batch) mode or the similar section in your [GS] manual.
>From that I learned: If you create bigjob.do and execute it as a
batch-job, you can in the Windows version:
! "C:\Program Files\Stata9\wstata.exe" /b do bigjob
The log will be written to bigjob.log.
