This suggestion may not be appropriate for this situation, but you could
divide your data into two time intervals for all patients who experience
two events. That is, for each child who experiences the event in BOTH
eyes you would add a line: the first line denotes time from t0 to
t_event for time to event for the left eye; the second line denotes time
from t0 to t_event for time to event for the right eye. See help
stsplit. You can then run a Cox PH model.
