Stata has the log of the factorial. type help lnfact(). In Stata 9, MATA also has factorial functions. You could have found this out on your own using search.

Simple question really - what (if at all) is the function in Stata 9 to calculate the factorial of a number(n), i.e the equivalent of FACT(n) in Excel. I cannot seem to find it in the FAQ ('calculate factorial') or Stata help ('help factorial').
