You suspected correctly: it is -help missing- where you can find links
to -help mvencode- and -help mvdecode-...
This is what it says in the help file for -missing-:
"[...]
Useful commands
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
mvencode transforms missing values into numeric values
mvdecode transforms numeric values into missing values
[...]"
