Some time ago in a post to this list (http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2003-08/msg00288.html ) Roger Newson provided a reference supporting the reporting of confidence intervals versus P values:

Can anyone supply other references, (particularly papers v. books) supporting the preference for reporting confidence intervals?
