Two points:
1. The URL here is incorrect. Joe meant http://repec.org/docs/ssc.php
2. It is much, much easier and better to use Stata,
specifically -ssc-, to interact with SSC. Only if
local set-up forbids it should you use a browser and access
SSC through a URL. This has been stressed many times
by Kit Baum.
Thus
. ssc whatsnew
gives you a Stata view on recent SSC postings, etc.
