Raffaella <[email protected]> asks whether Stata requires balanced
panels to fit nested logit models.
The -nlogit- command does not work with panel data. I suspect that Raffaella
is getting an error message like:
unbalanced data
r(459);
The improved version of the -nlogit- command works with unbalanced data (not
with panel data). This change to
-nlogit- was part of the 17jun2005 update to Stata 9.
