I use the "tabstat" function for numeric variable.
I'm surprised that the table don't display the label of the variable,
but its name.
Is it a way to display the variable label in place of its name ?

Apparently you are right, but fortunately somebody else felt the same
need. Try
. findit table label
and locate -fsum-.
. sysuse auto
. tabstat price-headroom , stat(n mean sd) col(stat)
variable | N mean sd
-------------+------------------------------
price | 74 6165.257 2949.496
mpg | 74 21.2973 5.785503
rep78 | 69 3.405797 .9899323
headroom | 74 2.993243 .8459948
--------------------------------------------
. fsum price-headroom , stat(n mean sd) label
Variable | N Mean SD
----------+---------------------------
price | 74 6165.26 2949.50 Price
mpg | 74 21.30 5.79 Mileage (mpg)
rep78 | 69 3.41 0.99 Repair Record 1978
headroom | 74 2.99 0.85 Headroom (in.)
. fsum price-headroom , stat(n mean sd) uselabel
Variable | N Mean SD
--------------------+---------------------------
Price | 74 6165.26 2949.50
Mileage (mpg) | 74 21.30 5.79
Repair Record 1978 | 69 3.41 0.99
Headroom (in.) | 74 2.99 0.85
Is that what you need?
