Of course, down this road lies some sort of completely generic format syntax.
Somethign like:
%{"("{@*100}3.2f"%)"}
might generate
(32.5%)
for the value 0.325.
And so on.
Then again, Excel's version of this is so complex that I never bothered to figure it out.
*That* might be very useful for coding routines to output formatted tables and the like. But probably not worth the investment by Stata...
