What's there to say? Stata 9 has masses of new
features: that's clear from the website and hardly
needs underlining. What's most important to people
will vary tremendously: for example, some of my
colleagues here are excited about the extra
multivariate, while there will be many Stata users
who will have little or no use for that. And so
on.
I don't sense a lack of enthusiasm. I sense that
a lot of people are getting to grips with Stata
9 as they can. What surfaces first are any initial
niggles and puzzles, which are what is most evident at
present on Statalist.
