I have documented the following problem using Windows XP and Stata 9/SE.
I start Stata 9.
I start a second instance of Stata 9.
The task manager and window title show:
Stata/SE 9.0
2-Stata/SE 9.0
I close the window titled "Stata/SE 9.0".
I open a new instance of Stata 9.
The task manager and window title show
2-Stata/SE 9.0
2-Stata/SE 9.0
The problem is always reproducible.
