Please respond to statalist
yes,
you should use the option basecategory(#) after the command
mlogit depvar [indepvars] [weight] [if exp] [in range] , basecategory(#)

Subject: st: mlogit question.
Hi,
Is there a way to choose the comparison group when using mlogit? I try char
y[omit] 4 to set the reference group at 4 (hospital), but stata keeps using 2
as reference. Thanks. Amadou DIALLO. PREM, The World Bank.
