Yes, almost. Just knowing the min, loq, med, upq
and max is sufficient to create a variable with
5 values and with the same quartiles. You lose out
on the business of the whiskers.
Similarly, just knowing the loq, med, upq
is sufficient...
I haven't proved it, but some experiments
looked OK.

First let me apologize for possibly asking a silly question. The question is: Is it possible to draw box plots when the original data are no longer at hand, but the quartiles and possibly the highest and the lowest value are accessible.
