-cluster- gives conservative estimates of the variance-covariance
matrix of the parameters, and that's it. Using gllamm / HLM / MLwin /
Mplus allows you to model the covariance structure at the higher
levels, although with the expense of making some distributional
assumptions. It is far more flexible and far more informative
modelling tool.
